Launched in 2007, the Urbano Monti is a multi-purpose support vessel, designed to carry out oceanographic survey campaigns for the verification of the routes of new submarine cables and marine activities related to underwater projects.

The ship is equipped with the latest generation of oceanographic instrumentation, including:

• Multibeam Sonar
• Side scan sonar
• High-precision acoustic positioning systems
